A new member has been added to the K-LINE fleet of small motorized vehicles, a die cast utility van. This van is based on Hi-Rail vehicles, road vehicles that have been converted to run on the rails, that operate on many of this nation?s railroads. This new item will be cataloged in 2003 in other road names, but we are offering it first to K-LINE Collector?s Club Members.

Decorated for the Kennecott Copper Corporation, this O Scale van features a 3 position reversing unit, illuminated lightbar on the roof and prototypical styling. This van is perfect to transport workers to the mine, or just to send a maintenance crew out to check the track in remote areas.

The KCC never had a rail van like this in real life, but it makes a fun toy train item. The interesting logo on the side doors was prototypical for the KCC. This is the only KCC item produced by K-Line that used that specific logo graphic on it. The KCC did have a Nevada Mines Division, so the item has some merit.
